Who's your favourite painter?🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Recommended Posts

I'm interested to know the popularity of painters🤔

Which painters are the most popular amongst the Aby community?  I'm fond of Toulouse Lautrec and Degas ( for the obvious associations with dance). But I think I prefer these because they were introduced to me when I was a very young child. Edvard Munch is next in line with The Scream. Such as angst ridden work depicts the way I sometimes feel at work with my boisterous ballet pupils. I feel as though I am silently screaming in my head😬

Keen to know yours🙂

I'm not all that well versed in paintings and have really no idea about who is "hip" currently, but I tend to prefer some of the classical painters such as van Gogh myself.

I also prefer the classics, and  modern artists probably Aurelio Bruni for his realism, well, maybe even an American - Warren Chang

I have just looked Chang up. He seems interesting.

The great thing about this subject is that you learn about artists that you have never heard about! It's great. Keep them coming. 😊

One of the greatest indeed!  I could visit his house and workshop last year. Anthony Van Dyck was one of his very talented pupils/coworkers, also a favourite of mine.

Yes, this is a high-ranking artist. This is a very multidirectional personality. it's a pity only that he started to do serious work late. Previously, it was just an illustrator

"beating babies" if I'm not mistaken? Yes, decent work of a worthy person
