You'd be better off in hosting your content somewhere else than on the forums in the first place, and just linking to a thumbnail of the work/cover and linking to the site hosting your content. I can help you out better once I know what kind of content (images, video, audio...) are you working with!

Uufff not getting used to how the attachments limits work. Can I only attach so much in one thread? Or one post? Looking for help here ...

You can use imgur.com to host your files and post the link here.

Imgur is great option for images. They have a limit of 20 MB per each individual image (as opposed to 0.49 MB of total on these forums), which should be enough for even high resolution images, should you wish to upload them.

Yeah, it's easiest to link to images on other domains. I understand you might want more options from an art oriented community, but maybe that's something to think about for the future. Allowing unlimited image posting would really strain the servers, you know!

Artist portfolios are something that the team is working on, and while we have no ETA for them as of now, they kinda need to be online within a year for the project to stay relevant in the eyes of the general public. But having your own portfolio is a good idea for many reasons other than that still, and setting one up with something like WordPress only takes an afternoon even for a complete newbie. And also gives the insight to understand why free things are limited...
