Hi I'm Eddie Cloud

I live in a very beautiful part of United Kingdom where you can find me often caring my photo bag across fields and hills. I'm obsessed with light and clouds, checking weather forecast constantly as a crypto trader would check his accounts for profits :)  I specialise in stills, time-lapse photography and video. In case of bad weather I'd normally disappear in my home based studio where I work different handcrafted products like backgrounds, still life, food etc. I've got great dreams, plenty of imagination and beautiful people around me.

Currently I'm submitting my work to major stock photography libraries including: Shutterstock, Alamy, Fotolia and Creative Market. You can find a selection of my portfolio on Eyeem . My web portfolio is currently in the middle stage of development so it's currently nonexistent but in near future you will be able to find me on www.eddiecloud.com so in meanwhile take a look at just freshly started Redbubble store

Welcome to the forum Eddie! These photos you've posted are really amazing! I get inspired by them and wish mine looked something like this:lol:

Hi, thanks for your kind words. I'm very dedicated to what I'm doing an all this comes for it's own price. So far I've spend tremendous amount of time learning, exploring and watching things arounds me, not to mention fuel burnt getting on locations and of course photography equipment which doesn't often come cheap :) Stick with what you good at and work it hard :)

Hard work in this case really paid off! It certainly isn't cheap, bought my first professional camera last summer, but if you use it enough it is money well spent. The quality of photos overall is so much better. And investing in other equipment helps making the shots even more beautiful. I'm still a beginner and have a lot to learn, but looking at good photos like yours helps me to focus on what to put in photos.

Love the pictures, could you add the locations maybe? Went to the UK (Scotland and NI) last year, loved it.

Hi

Just updated each photo with locations for you :) I hope you didn't get much of rain during your last visit in UK

they look all amazing esp. the second one. love it

This one was hard to get, long trip to Scotland almost 2 years ago, brought back many stories to tell. Scotland is terrific, had been editing a batch of photos recently from that time and I must admit I feel very strongly connected, I'd love to go back there in near future.

I've been shooting with pretty cheap setup for most of my life and it has never been a case of the equipment until late. As a 10 years old I've been killing my time in darkroom playing with black and white films shoot on fully automatic fuji camera ( I wish if I had it back now ) It has always been a matter of seeing not having if you know what I mean. It stayed this way for almost 25 years of my life until I got my first canon 400d about 10 years ago. I've learnt properly photography with this equipment and would stay with it but current market temptations are irresistible so things progressed recently with me in terms of camera equipment. I still use the old fashion film cameras occasionally

Great story. Yes, a professional with a budget camera still can take awesome photos, while an amateur with the best equipment out there still can't shoot anything good. I always think when I look with my eyes this could be a photo, you know which parts you have to get on the photo and which should be just left out. It doesn't always work out ofcourse, but usually you have to see it yourself before you can shoot it.

Yes indeed Schotland is outstandingly beautiful, everyone should go there atleast once in a lifetime.

Wow those are some really nice photos. Funny how a boring subject like a road can be transformed into an beautiful picture by a good photographer. I Hope you win the artist showcase of the week. Good luck!
