  1. https://www.dickblick.com/ There is a local art supplies store. Is there any interest in artists paying for art supplies via ABY and I can ship it to you?
  2. Do you mean once VanGoghPainter is tipped, no one else can tip this artist? Or do you mean each tipper's first tip is eligible for bonus and subsequent tips are not eligible for the bonus? I get the logic but it seems like a big burden for you.

That would be acceptable to me. I think the salient point with crypto is a defined max supply. The finite supply makes it so that you can't just print your way out of a crisis. All the other stuff like consumer protection, refunds, escrow, can be built into a coin. With the right kind of governance or smart contracts built into coins, you could automatically have escrow or contracts set up the conditions for a payment. If you're a consumer and want a 30-day money back guarantee, you could opt for a special contract with your payment so those parameters are possible. Basically, it'd be the return & refund policy that a company establishes that is built into the coin as a smart contract. I think some coins will behave like digital cash and I think other coins will be more consumer friendly. There will be different products for different use cases. ArtByte's direction is not clear so we don't know what the possibilities for this coin will be.
  4. @Admin what do you think of /r/painting ?
  5. metalepsis

I was thinking out loud that when you perform a payment request in the ArtByte QT wallet, there's a black & white QR code. I'd say it'd be cool to colorize it.
  6. Expectation from artbyte

Crypto currently works most like fiat cash. Once you send it, there's no mechanism to get refunds like you can with debit/credit cards. I think there will have to be some innovation in the space where ecommerce, refunds, escrow, etc will have to built into the coin. That coupled with mobile wallets all need to interact seamlessly together.
  7. Someone took the effort and time to make an illustration entirely out of HTML & CSS. Amazing work. http://diana-adrianne.com/purecss-francine/ https://github.com/cyanharlow/purecss-francine
  8. metalepsis

That's be cool if we could incorporate QR codes but make it artsy like this in the ArtByte QT wallet.
  9. Mining or trading which is best

You really don't have an option unless you have free or cheap electricity, and decide to buy hardware to mine scrypt coins. Difficulty keeps creeping up for scrypt coins, although ABY has maintained a 2k-4k difficulty level. If you don't invest in ASIC hardware, your only other choice is to buy and hold ABY.
  10. Banned forum accounts

This is a good change. There was a lot of low quality posts just to get post count up. Keyword: "you're welcome to"
  11. Expectation from artbyte

BTC is the first so anything you trade at exchange usually have BTC as the pair you trade with. ETH, LTC, and sometimes BCH can stand on their own... but the standard is BTC paired with the altcoin.
  12. Confiruge mining ABY with cpuminer in zpool.ca

You can't mine ArtByte with GPU either. It is only ASIC now. That'll run you about $850 USD for 504 Mh/s using about 800W of electricity. It is also very noisy. If you want to mine with CPU, DM me and we can talk privately.
  13. Betta fish drawing coloured

No, I did not know you had published a book. Maybe you posted it and I missed it. Thanks for letting me know.
  14. Expectation from artbyte

I tend to agree, but some coins behave differently from BTC price as well. I think ABY generally follows BTC but it also has its own behavior at times.
  15. Expectation from artbyte

I don't think you understand enough about how coin valuation works to state it should be 5 cent. Coin has never reached 5 cent even when Bitcoin was $18k.
