  1. We have decided to close the ArtByte Forum. We have been hard at work finalizing the new free Artist Profile section of the main site and believe that will be a much better meeting place for artists and fans.

    The new profile pages will allow artists to post their work, sell their work, and receive tips of ArtByte. Fans can leave comments, buy work, and easily send tips.

    We very much appreciate the support of so many of you who posted and commented in the forum. ArtByte has a great community and will continue to build with our new free profiles. The profile section will launch in the next couple of weeks.

    If any forum member believes they have not been received their latest forum bonus, please email support@artbyte.me and we will make sure all bonuses are paid.

    All of our test wallets sync perfectly. Please email support@artbyte.me with a pic of your wallet and tell us which version, on which OS you are running.

    If you go to the wallet in your browser and see this message, you are using the online wallet. We have not released the fix for that yet, but will soon. If you use the online wallet, you do not need to upgrade that, because we will.


  5. Following the attack on the ArtByte blockchain and the fix we applied, it is mandatory to upgrade to the new wallet, version The old wallets will not connect to the blockchain.

    Of course, as with any software upgrade, it is always best to backup your data. To backup your existing ArtByte wallet, look in the top left hand corner and click "file", then click "backup wallet". Close your existing wallet and download and install the new wallet.

    You are correct. We are still working on it, so it has not been released.

    Welcome to ArtByte! On Reddit you have to accept your ArtByte, with the +accept command. This has to be done within 2 days of the time you received it or it goes back to the sender. We sent you 20 ArtByte to your listed wallet address to get you started.

    I am guessing that the blockchain file on your 1st computer has become corrupted. Remember the real data is data is stored on the network, so when you logged in with your new computer it showed the got the correct data from the network.

  9. The identical amount of the transaction is not relevant.

    First, when you finish sending transactions, leave your wallet connected to the network for 5 - 10 minutes, so all your transactions go out to the network.

    Second, if the mining difficulty has been very high (meaning that a lot of miners are mining), and then drops rapidly (meaning several miners stop mining for a while) no transactions will process until the difficulty drops back down. When it is back down, the transactions will go through. This happens several times a day, as the multipools increase and decrease mining on ArtByte.

    Each time you see a spike shows that the multipools are mining. Each time the graph levels off, the multipools have stopped mining for a while. It can take a few minutes to a couple of hours for the difficulty to lower to the new mining level. Until it levels off, no one's transaction can process.

    All mined coins have the same problem with this.

    Your account has been tagged as a possible multiple account, because you logged in from the same IP address as another known multiple account user. So no bonus was paid. You need to send your account name, email, and picture ID to support@artbyte.me to verify your identity.
